We also want to thank everyone who voted! For each vote Garret Cares will be donating $1 / votes to Amazing Mutts Puppy Rescue @amazingmuttspuppyrescue We totaled 162 votes and are honored to donate $162 to this great organization!

The Christino Family and Garret Cares Foundation would like to deeply thank the Beta Theta Pi fraternity Theta Alpha Chapter at UD for hosting the 3rd Annual Garret Cares 5k Fun Run. This run allows us to remember Garret in a place he cherished, with an organization that was an important part of Garret’s time at UD.
We appreciate the current and alumni Beta Theta Pi brothers, our visiting TCNJ Beta Theta Pi Brother, Garret’s family and the Garret Cares scholarship recipents who were able to join us today as well as our donors that were unable to join

Special thanks to Dylan for leading the event, Beta Theta Pi President Ryan and the Executive Board for continuing to support Garret Cares , Kal for being our ambassador and to everyone that help us to keep Garret’s memory alive.

We would like to express our deep gratitude to Beta Theta Pi at TCNJ for dedicating their week of philanthropy to Garret Cares.
They allowed us to spend time with them talking about Garret and let us speak about how Garret lived his life.
We were able to share the work our foundation has done and strives to do and how we are choosing to carry Garret’s legacy forward. We honor Garret by keeping what he loved at the center of our foundation. His love of learning , helping others and leaving our world a bit better will always be the heart of our foundation.
Garret wanted each person to feel included and be part of something bigger, and that is just what this brotherhood has done and continues to do.

We are grateful to this chapter for allowing us to bring Garret into their circle even though he may not be with us here on Earth. Garret’s desire as a Beta brother was to be a ‘lifer’ and through the Brother’s of this chapter and many others, Garret is eternally part of Beta Theta Pi. The Christino Family was thrilled to meet the amazing young women who received the Garret David Christino 2024 Memorial Scholarship. These two incoming freshman will be a great addition to the UD community and are the perfect students to honor Garret’s legacy. Congratulations Ava and Keira! The Garret Cares Team would also like to highlight Lauren Hein who received a $500 scholarship as an amazing runner up who will also be the perfect addition to the UD community! Thank you to Grace and Cayla ( Garret Cares Scholarship recipients from 2022 & 2023) for joining us!
We wish all of you, along with all students and teachers a successful school year ahead 🧡💙

Today marks 4 years without our precious Garret.
4 years without hearing his infectious laughter , without taking us on an impulsive fun adventure, without listening to one of his crazy stories that sometimes needed to be fact checked and usually ended up quite true, without his amazing bear hugs, his incredible ability to listen with compassionate ears , and always sharing his faithful loving heart with anyone who needed one, especially in their times of despair -like today.

Oh Garret you are so very missed even more than we could ever imagine and your are loved that much more. You gave us so much love to carry forward. We will forever honor you and your love to share with others. ❤️

The NJ Rise yearly backpack drive is back! Garret

The NJ Rise yearly backpack drive is back! Garret Cares will be supporting NJ Rise by collecting donations which will then be distributed to students in the community. These donations ensure the students have necessary items to be successful in their new school year.

If you are unable to donate items but would like to donate your time, information to pack the backpacks will be put out at a later date 🙂 Garret’s love for learning continues to inspire us to support our local students and we hope this inspires you to do the same 💙🧡

Today is Garret’s 26th Birthday. Today we celebrate the love , positivity and happiness Garret brought into our lives. Happy heavenly birthday to our son, brother, and kindest friend.
Though we miss him every day, today we miss him even more.

Wishing you a beautiful birthday in heaven Garret from all of us who love you , think about you and miss you everyday, and we always wish you were here with us❤️

We carry your love of life and kindest heart forward in everything we do. It is what gives us strength to put a little bit of good back into our little tiny corner of the world.

Some of you may know Garret was the liaison and volunteer for Project Sunshine from UD during his time there. Project sunshine is a compassionate non profit that brings volunteer-led programming to pediatric patients and their families in a variety of medical settings.
For Garret’s birthday, we honor him by helping to bring some joy to young children as they receive medical care by putting super hero kits together. We thank all that we were able to join us to support this cause.
We also are honoring Garret‘s love of learning by offering a small token of gratitude to 2 teachers today by awarding funds for school supplies.
We know how much Garret love to learn and thank you for all you do.
